OUR STORY

We are a group of students passionate about how healthy eating can affect our learning. We launched the Brain Food Project to try to spread the word about healthy eating habits.

Through several initiatives, we show how you can improve your eating and learning by adding “26 brainfoods” to your diet.

We create easy and tasty recipes with brain foods as our ingredients.   We also research, investigate, write articles, produce videos and photograph our food.

Most of all, we have lots of fun learning!

ABOUT US

MEET OUR TEAM

Roxana Roca San José

When I first came here to SEK Ciudalcampo, I discovered brainfoods. I was shocked and impressed that students from first of ESO could take part in something so big that will impact all our lives. We had great ideas, some of them were better than what any adult would have ever thought of!!!

I think brain foods not only help your body, they also can help with your learning. It’s like doing a favor to your body! This project has changed the way I eat. Now I eat things that I would never have dared to try before. It has been a lovely experience!

Hanqing Wang

This project has helped me and my family alot. Since I told them about my brain food list, my mother and father try to include as many brain foods as they can in our daily meals, because they also think it is very important

Leire Barrondo Rubio

Being a member of the Brain food project has changed the way I think of different foods for the better. It’s shocking how from a little project, it has become such a big one and I’m so happy to be a part of it. Now that I have learned about brainfoods and their benefits, I get to show them to others!

EXTRA BRAINY TIP

Your brain is largely water and it takes only 2% dehydration to negatively affect your memory, attention, and other cognitive skills. Next time your brain gets mentally fuzzy, grab a drink!

EXTRA BRAINY TIP

Ten minutes of walking, or gentle exercise like yoga, tai chi, or qi gong can enhance your mood, memory, and concentration.  Any kind of exercise is beneficial and very important. Try and do a little bit every day!
